Procurement & Logistics Intern
Role Summary
As a Procurement Intern, you will assist in communicating with suppliers to ensure on-time arrival of solar-related products, and be trained to negotiate for the best terms possible.
In this role you will:
- Assisting in the planning and execution of overall procurement strategies, managing procurement schedules, and overseeing activities within the procurement department.
- Coordinating logistics operations, including customs clearance, warehouse and site deliveries, order processing, and timely invoicing.
- Supporting daily purchasing operations, including negotiating prices, sourcing, issuing purchase orders and delivery orders.
- Providing assistance with ad-hoc duties as required.
- Preparing and packaging equipment and goods for scheduled installations at the warehouse.
- Maintaining inventory of warehouse items.
- Organizing and maintaining the upkeep of the warehouse.
To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:
- Proficiency in written and verbal English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply chain Management, Business entrepreneurship or any other relevant field.
- Own mode of transport.
- A knack for multitasking, as you will be managing multiple projects on a deadline in addition to handling third-party suppliers, partners, and vendors.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
