Commercial & Industrial Engineer (GCPV Certified under SEDA)
Role Summary
As the Commercial & Industrial Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our engagement with Commercial and Industrial clients, conducting technical site visits and spearheading B2B sales efforts. Your role encompasses evaluating technical requirements, crafting proposals, and ensuring the successful execution of solar projects.
In this role you will:
- Conduct Technical Site Visits: Engage with clients onsite to assess their energy needs and gather technical requirements for solar installations.
- B2B Consultation and Information Sharing: Provide in-depth insights into our solar solutions, demonstrating expertise and tailoring recommendations to meet clients' specific needs.
- Solar Design Review: Thoroughly evaluate and optimize solar installation designs to align with technical specifications and client expectations.
- Customer Advocacy: Serve as a proactive advocate for clients, leveraging your expertise to enhance our solar offerings and address their evolving requirements.
- Value Proposition Delivery: Effectively communicate SOLS Energy’s value propositions, ensuring clients understand the benefits of commercial solar solutions.
- Proposal and Documentation Creation: Prepare comprehensive proposals, project timelines, and documentation for commercial and SME solar projects, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Project Management: Oversee commercial deals from inception to completion, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Proactive Outreach: Initiate proactive outreach efforts through cold calling and other channels, providing exceptional after-sales support to foster long-term client relationships.
To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:
- Background in Solar: A solid foundation in solar technology, coupled with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/technical or related field.
- GCPV Certification: Possess GCPV certification under SEDA, showcasing your expertise and commitment to industry standards.
- Commercial Experience: Demonstrated experience in commercial sales, particularly with projects of 72kW and above, highlighting your ability to navigate complex B2B environments.
- 3 Years Sales Experience: A minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable selling technical solutions and adept at translating complex information into compelling value propositions.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a creative mindset and the ability to adapt to evolving market dynamics.
- Internal Advocacy: Capable of advocating internally on behalf of clients, ensuring their needs are effectively communicated and addressed.
